Joy and grief, all the things

Thanksgiving is always an interesting time for me.

Splitting time between my side of the family and my husband’s side, deciding if I’m going to cook (or what to bring), and let’s be honest…deciding if I even feel like going, depending on what family drama is in season. If you know, you know! Lol.

This year brings an extra layer of feelings with the recent loss of my aunt and brother-in-law. If you’ve experienced loss before the holidays, you know how many emotions come with that.

As I navigate this season of joy, grief, and family, I want to remind you to care for yourself, too. The holidays can be a lot in general even if you haven’t lost a loved one.

It’s time to get into community!” That seems to be my go to these days.

Text ya girl group chat.

Plan an impromptu walking date with a friend.

Grab some ice cream with a loved one.

Watch a movie with your kiddos.

Whatever fills your heart in this time.

I’m definitely looking forward to family time—and equally excited to invite you into a special community I’ve been dreaming up just for us.

More on that soon… In the meantime, have a wonderful next few days. I’ll see ya in December. **December? That sounds crazy saying out loud!
