Soooo…I saw a lot of deep discounts on services for Black Friday and I’m seeing even more holiday sales. As a small business (especially a service provider) I’d caution against slashing your prices so much that they are perceived as not valuable at the full price when the hustle of the holidays are over.
Here are 3 things you can do instead of offering ridiculously deep discounts:
1️⃣ Add flexible payment options and plans (for example I offered a 5 pay option on my signature #MarketMyVision group program happening in March 2019 when I normally only give 1 pay in full option)
2️⃣ Add major bonuses to your program, course or service. What about a 30 minute consultation, or an extra tutorial, or a gift with purchase, or access to another mini program or course? **Get creative.
3️⃣ Create a specific service to offer during the holidays ONLY. This can give you something to leverage in this “big discount” seasonal environment instead of slashing your oh so valuable existing stuff beyond recognition.
What are your thoughts on discounting services? Do you do it during the holidays? Has it be benefited you? You heard my horror story on Instagram about forgetting to put a limit on my sale 8 years ago and having wayyyy too many people purchase 1 on 1 coaching; I was going crazy for nearly 60 days!
P.S. If you’ve been thinking about joining my 90 day, Market My Vision® group coaching program starting in MARCH 2019 (that sells out each year and is significantly less than private coaching) AND you want to take advantage of my flexible payment options before the new year… take a look at some yummy client testimonies here and fill out the application so I can send you details and schedule a call! Yes, it’s still application only. The energy in my community and it being the right fit for you means everything to me!
