All money isn’t good money! How do I know? Been there, done that, bought the T-Shirt… TWICE! (No really) I used to take on clients knowing they were no good for me. I ended up in a place where I was miserable with the work I was doing. I mean, who starts a business they are passionate about just to end up hating it like a J.O.B.?
In this 2 part video series I will share signs that let you know that you don’t want to turn certain prospects into clients. A client of mine actually shared this article with me by C.J. Hayden and I thought it was video shoot worthy! I think you will too!

I’d LOVE to hear your feedback on this. Have you ever had to deal with a pain in the butt client? What did you do? Do you have warning signs to add to this post? Share them in the comment section below!
This is great stuff Natalie! I had a prospect who asked me to work for FREE!
Being able to take control of your time and income can be a huge confidence builder too…these videos were awesome and gave some insight and most likely helps those who know where they are going 😉
Hi Natalie hahaha I have had clients that have ask me to do the work for less 🙂 of what other designers told them a reasonable price 🙂 what you think ?? Great input
This is such great information. There is a huge false idea that “The customer is always right.” This is false. While great customer service is super important, a contract is bilateral and not unilateral, meaning they have their side to keep up too. You are absolutely right on all points. I would even add that if there is anything at all in their communication to you that makes you feel you need to defend your product or convince them that it is great, then cut them loose. If they can’t see the value of what you have to offer, they will be too blind to be able to use it properly or take responsibility for its success and then it becomes your fault. Great post!
